अनुष्का शर्मा की प्रोड्यूस वेब सीरीज पाताल लोक खूब पसंद की जा रही है। लॉकडाउन के दौरान पाताल लोक अमेजन प्राइम पर लॉन्च हुई और जबरदस्त हिट रही। अब इस सीरीज से जुड़ी कुछ अनदेखी तस्वीरें अनुष्का शर्मा ने इंस्टाग्राम पर शेयर की है और फैन्स से एक खास अपील की है। अनुष्का ने सीरीज में नजर आए डॉग की तस्वीर शेयर की है, बता दें, इस डॉग का सीरीज में बहुत महत्व है। सीरीज का क्लाईमैक्स इस डॉग से ही पूरी तरह बदल जाता है। अनुष्का ने तस्वीर शेयर करते हुए लिखा है- "पाताल लोक के इन बॉयज और गर्ल्स पर आपने जो प्यार बरसाया है दिल जीतने वाला है।"

अनुष्का ने आगे लिखा है, आप इनकी मदद के लिए अगर हाथ बढ़ाना चाहते हैं तो नीचे कुछ एनजीओ और ऑर्गनाइजेशन्स का नाम दे रही हूं। ये कुछ ऐसे एनजीओ हैं जिनके साथ मैं काम कर रही हूं और ये इन स्ट्रीट डॉग्स के लिए बेहतरीन काम कर रहे हैं। अनुष्का ने एनजीओ की लिस्ट दी है जिसमें- Animal Aid Unlimited, Thane SPCA, RAWW, Awaaz Voice of Stray Animals और Save Our Strays जैसे कई नाम शामिल हैं।

Save Our Strays – A Mumbai based organization whose primary focus is sterilization. बता दें, अनुष्का शर्मा अपने प्रोडक्शन की वेब सीरीज 'पाताल लोक' को मिल रही सराहना से बेहद खुश हैं और इसकी सफलता के पीछे की वजह इसकी कहानी को मानती हैं। अनुष्का ने कहा, "दर्शकों और आलोचकों ने 'पाताल लोक' को जो प्यार दिया है, उससे मैं अभिभूत हूं। 'पाताल लोक' की सफलता का कारण इसकी कहानी है। आज के दौर में बेहतरीन कहानी वास्तव में सबसे अहम मानदंड है। कर्णेश और मैंने क्लीन स्लेट फिल्म्ज (प्रोडक्शन हउस) के जरिए दर्शकों को हमेशा कुछ ऐसा देने की कोशिश की है, जिसे उन्होंने पहले कभी नहीं देखा हो।"

वेब सीरीज की सफलता का श्रेय अनुष्का ने पूरी टीम को दिया है और कहा कि इसके निर्माण प्रक्रिया के दौरान उन्होंने बतौर निर्माता बहुत कुछ सीखा है।

वेब सीरीज पाताल लोक विवादों में भी फंस गई है। सीरीज की प्रोड्यूसर अनुष्का शर्मा को लीगल नोटिस भेजा गया है। लॉयर गिल्ड मेंबर वीरेन सिंह गुरुंग ने अनुष्का को लीगल नोटिस भेजा है। अनुष्का शर्मा को 18 मई को भेजे गए नोटिस में आरोप लगाया है कि वेब सीरीज में जातिसूचक शब्द का इस्तेमाल हुआ है, जिससे पूरे नेपाली समुदाय का अपमान हुआ है। 

गुरुंग ने द क्विंट को बताया, सीरीज के दूसरे एपसोड में एक क्लिप में लेडी पुलिस ऑफिसर एक नेपाली किरदार से पूछताछ करते समय जातिसूचक शब्दों का इस्तेमाल करती हैं। अगर सिर्फ नेपाली शब्द का इस्तेमाल किया जाता तो हमे कोई दिक्कत नहीं थे मगर उसके बाद इस्तेमाल हुआ शब्द हमे बिल्कुल मंजूर नहीं है। क्योंकि अनुष्का शर्मा सीरीज की प्रोड्यूसर हैं इसलिए उन्हें नोटिस भेजा गया है।

पाताल लोक में जयदीप अहलावत, नीरज काबी, अभिषेक बनर्जी, स्वस्तिका मुखर्जी, निहारिका, जगजीत, गुल पनाग अहम भूमिका निभाते नजर आ रहे हैं। कई बॉलीवुड सेलिब्रिटीज ने भी इस सीरीज की तारीफ की है।
